High Stick Lemon Warmup

Ingredients:

1/2 cup honey (agave for vegans)
4 cups water
1 lemon, zested and sliced
1-2 cinnamon sticks
Vodka, to taste

 

Add honey to 4 cups of hot water with lemon zest and cinnamon sticks.  Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.  When ready to serve, add vodka to taste and mix.  Should be served warm/hot.  This vodka tea is great way to keep warm at the outdoor rink or a go to hot vodka cocktail after some well played shinny. This vodka sauce is gluten free and a favourite of ours.  Hockey lovers or winter outdoor enthusiasts will love this in their thermos when the temperatures dip.
